Every photographer hopes to catch something interesting with every photo. Every photo I take is one can tell a story; each collection can show the range of feelings and emotions from where I was. Below are four of my favourite galleries.
Syrians in Vancouver celebrate the fall of the Assad Regime on December 8, 2024.
25-thousand Syrian refugees arrived in Canada between 2015 and 2017. 3000 Syrian refugees had settled in Metro-Vancouver by 2016. Decades of global displacement led Syrians all across the world to celebrate the end of the Assad regime.
Labourers rally in New Westminster during the HandyDART strikes on September 10, 2024.
ATU Local 1724 and Transdev were one week into negotiations for a new contract. Union members alleged they had been used as a taxi service rather than the as a medical service by Transdev. The strike ended on September 21, 2024. HandyDART drivers returned to work following a ratified deal on Sept. 23.
Swifties take over Vancouver for Taylor Swift’s Era’s Tour on December 8, 2024.
The Era’s tour is the largest grossing concert tour ever, earning over $2 billion while becoming a cultural phenomenon. It concluded at Vancouver’s BC Place on Dec. 8. Fans gathered outside the arena hours before the show began to party and celebrate.
The BCHL’s Surrey Eagles host the Cowichan Valley Capitals on September 22, 2024.
The Surrey Eagles hosted the Cowichan Capitals, winning 6-3 for their first win of their title-defending 2024-25 season. Thanks to Richard Davis for giving me the opportunity to photograph this game.
